December fun Vancouver style!

posted by: Ramada Vancouver Downtown Hotel on: October 31, 2017

Come enjoy the best of the winter in a temperate climate! Vancouver has a lot going on this December.

You know the scene. It’s a romantic comedy set in New York, or anywhere with an outdoor skating rink, and a young couple get onto the ice tentatively, falling into each other’s arms and laughing and smiling. It’s a romantic hallmark because, well, it’s just so NICE.

Good news. You can live out that scene by going for a downtown skate in Vancouver’s own Robson Square. Located directly across from Vancouver Art Gallery, you can either skate for free by bringing your own skates, or rent a pair for a low fee! It’s a classic Vancouver experience that you have to experience. Details available here.

And when you’re done skating, you can check out the Scandinavian design art exhibit at the Art Gallery mentioned below, followed by a hot chocolate on their famous café patio! That sounds like the perfect day to me.

Experience the best of Vancouver’s local art scene by coming to the Toque craft fair Dec 1-3! A fundraiser to benefit The Western Front, one of Vancouver’s historically most important art spaces, Toque combines the best of fine art and creative crafts in one massive sale! See what the best of the West Coast’s artisans and craftspeople have to offer at affordable prices. Get gifts for the coolest people on your shopping list, and enter raffles for a vast array of fantastic local prizes! Find out more here.

Stanley Park is one of Vancouver’s most iconic locations, a huge park just off the downtown core that is actually larger than New York’s famous Central Park! This December, it will be strung up with Christmas lights that will make the beauty of the park even more transcendent. A must see at night.
