Front Desk Agents - FT/PT

Front Desk Agent 

The Ramada Vancouver Downtown, a 116 room downtown Entertainment District Hotel, is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Front Desk Agents. Our location is a high volume, fast paced environment. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for maximizing hotel revenue and guest satisfaction by providing professional service. 

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will have the following duties & responsibilities: 

Ensure all guest interaction is in a friendly, efficient, prompt & courteous manner. 
Effective handling and resolution of guest issues in a timely manner. 
Accurate work performance in areas such as, postings and transactions. 
Know and be able to carry out hotel emergency procedures including emergency evacuation, guest or employee injury and reporting safety and security issues. 
Work closely with other departments of the hotel to ensure smooth operation of the front desk and enhance the guest service experience.

Job Requirements 

Preferred Experience & Skills required: 

Minimum 2 years experience working at a busy hotel front desk 
Passion to provide exceptional guest service; a desire to excel and grow in the Hospitality Industry 
Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written 
Second Language preferred but not required 
Strong data entry and analytical skills 
Ability to work with minimal supervision 
Capable of proactive problem solving and decision making 
Team player who is able to recognize the value of guest service 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - Word and Excel 
Able to multitask and meet deadlines 
Tourism/Hospitality Management Diploma or Post-Secondary Degree preferred but not required 
Experience with OPERA PMS is an Essential 
Must be able to work variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends and overnights 
Good knowledge of the Vancouver area is an asset 
Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, and ethics 
Good sense of humor 
Excellent work related references 
Legally entitled to work in Canada
